The ride history is designed as a backup or failsafe just in case anything happens when you try to upload a ride. It is not designed to be some sort of definitive FulGaz "career" record or data analysis tool.
While you ride, FulGaz saves your ride data to it's database every 10 seconds. It does this so that whatever happens, your ride data is never lost. Think of what could happen - Flat battery, app crash, no internet... We know how important it is that you can get your data, so the ride history gives you a way to upload later if anything goes wrong.
I couldn't upload to Strava, is the data lost?
No, this is the intended purpose of the ride history. Go to Settings > Ride History and select the ride you want to upload. The same thing applies if you want to send yourself the .fit file from the ride.
I forgot to add my ride to the Challenge list, can I do it later?
If you complete a ride, you can then ride against that ride performance by using Challenge Mode. However, you need to make sure you select Upload to Challenge list for that ride. Go to Settings > Ride History and select the ride you want to upload.
The ride history disappeared on my Apple TV, what happened?
The Apple TV Operating system does not allow what are known as "persistent" downloads. Instead, the newest piece of content requested must always be given room. This means watching a movie on Netflix could result in your ride history being deleted by the Apple TV so it can save space. There is nothing we can do about this.
Why can't I see my iPhone ride history on my Apple TV?
The ride history is not just a list, it's all the data too (which can get very big), so asking why the history doesn't show up on another device running FulGaz really is like asking why all the information from one bike computer isn't on another bike computer. It's too much data to copy across or store on our servers.
Why can't I export .fit files directly from the ride history?
FulGaz does not store fit files in it's ride history, it contains the raw data from the database. .fit file conversion is completed on the FulGaz server, then emailed to you.
How can I stop the ride history taking up so much space?
If you find the ride history getting very big, you can compact the database, or delete the rides within it. If you decide to delete rides, make sure you've uploaded them first because they can't be retrieved once you've deleted them.
Why is there so little information in the ride History summary?
The ride history is not intended as a ride analysis tool, it displays just enough information for you to be certain which ride to upload later if you need to.
Why is there no Strava thumbnail when I upload from the ride history?
The Strava thumbnails are deleted after each ride to save space, they are not available if you upload a ride later.
