When updating to the new public-release V4 for Windows 10 beta users, the process is a little bit different to other platforms. The beta app was distributed as a separate app, so you may need to download the new version manually.
Before updating anything: Make sure you have uploaded all the ride data you wish to keep from your V4 Beta app using settings -> ride history (eg: uploaded to Strava). Disconnect your fitness devices from the FulGaz V4 Beta and quit the app completely.
- If you still have the original FulGaz V3 installed on your device, you can update this to V4 by visiting the Microsoft App Store, searching for FulGaz and installing pending updates.
- If you have deleted the old version, please head to the Microsoft App Store and download FulGaz again (this will now be the newly released V4).
Once you have installed or updated to the latest version, please check your user settings. It might take a few restarts for your favourites and settings to sync across.
Ride History - For technical people only
If you would like to keep your ride history, you will need to back it up by following the steps below once you have downloaded the new version. Your rides will still show as complete on the World View Map regardless of whether you transfer your ride history or not. To bring your ride history across, follow the directions outlined below.
- Find the folder on your hard drive named: C:\Users\YOURPCUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\BizarMobile.FulGaz4_asxhtrxdca8p2\LocalStat
The username will be your own device’s name (it'll be different for each user based on what you chose when setting up your device).
- Copy the contents of that folder to the "new" FulGaz folder for the new V4 app. This new folder will be called:
(i.e. the same name as above but without the '4’ on the end)
Once you have copied your ride history across, you can then delete the old beta app and start using the newly released FulGaz!
For regular Windows 10 users
For non BETA users, the update from V3 to the newly released V4 will be seamless, your app should update automatically as we’ll upload V4 to replace V3. Simply head to the Microsoft App Store and install any pending updates for FulGaz if they haven’t installed automatically. Your ride history will remain unchanged.
