FAQ: Avatars on FulGaz

What rides are Avatars available on?

Only a small selection of specially curated rides are Avatar enabled. These rides have been carefully processed by our ride technicians to give the best possible experience. Avatar enabled rides have a different coloured thumbnail highlight (white, instead of the regular blue) plus an "AVATARS" icon in the top left corner of the thumbnail.

What devices are Avatars available on?

Avatars are currently available on all Apple platforms (iPad, iPhone, Apple TV and Mac), and also Windows 10 and 11. Android is not currently supported.

Please ensure you are on the most up-to-date version of FulGaz via your App Store.

How can I set up my Avatar?

You can set up and customise your Avatar in FulGaz settings -> Avatar Customisation. More information on customising your Avatar can be found here.

Does my Avatar draft other Avatars?

Drafting is not yet a feature. This is something we may implement in the future.

Can I use Avatars to Ride against Bernard?

Yes! On any full Avatar-enabled ride, you can enable Bernard in Workout Settings, and have him as an Avatar to race or pace against. 

Will Avatars be available on all rides?

No. Due to the specific filming and ride processing required to make a ride Avatar compatible, Avatars will not be rolled out on all FulGaz rides. Avatars will only be available on select rides. We will be adding more Avatar rides to the current collection though.

Can I make a section from a longer Avatar ride?

Yes! You can trim an Avatar ride just like any regular FulGaz ride. You can check out our "How To" article on ride trimming here.

Can I switch Avatars off?

Yes! Even if you are riding an Avatar-enabled ride, you can cycle through the HUD views to switch off Avatars. Simply tap the "circle" button in the bottom right corner of the screen (or the >|| "play" button on your Apple TV remote) to cycle through the three different display options.
