Your ride history within the app is designed as a backup, just in case anything happens when you try to upload a ride. It is not designed to be a definitive FulGaz "career record" or data analysis tool. We know how important it is that you can get your data, so the ride history gives you a way to upload later if anything goes wrong. This is also why the post-ride email containing the "FIT" file is so important.
If you delete or uninstall FulGaz from a device, all your ride data on that device will also be deleted. This can not be recovered. Please only delete FulGaz if absolutely necessary!
- I couldn't upload to Strava, is the data lost?
No, this is the intended purpose of the ride history. In the app, go to Settings -> Ride History and select the ride you want to upload. The same thing applies if you want to re-send yourself the email.
- I deleted my Ride History, can I restore it?
No. If you delete the ride from your Ride History, that data is gone. You should still have a copy of the ride data in the post-ride email.
- I forgot to add my ride to the Challenge list, can I do it later?
If you complete a ride, you can then ride against that performance by using Challenge Mode. However, you need to make sure you select "Upload to Challenge List" for that ride. You can do this from your ride history as above. Go to Settings -> Ride History and select the ride to upload.
- My ride history disappeared on my Apple TV, what happened?
The newest piece of content is always given priority. If your Apple TV box is low on space, it will automatically overwrite the oldest data to create space for new files. This may include your older ride data and unfortunately this is something outside of our control. There is nothing we can do about this.
- Why can't I see my iPhone ride history on my Apple TV?
Your full ride data is only stored locally on the device you rode on. Ride data is not synced between all devices you have FulGaz installed on and it is not stored on the FulGaz servers. The full ride data files are very large, so this is too much data to copy between devices or store on our servers.
- Why can't I export "FIT" files directly from the ride history?
FulGaz does not store these files in it's ride history, just the raw data from the database. The final conversion is completed on the FulGaz server, then emailed to you.
- Why is there so little information in the summary?
The ride history is not intended as a ride analysis tool, it displays just enough information for you to be certain which ride to upload later if you need to. Full ride analysis can be undertaken in Training Peaks, Strava or your training software of choice.
