The video below shows you how to add workouts to your FulGaz rides. Workouts can be imported using custom ZWO files uploaded to your Member's Page, or directly from TrainingPeaks and TriDot.
Workouts need to be power-based (not heart rate based) and once added to a ride will control your trainer via ERG Mode. Bernard, our virtual training partner, will also encourage you as you ride and let you know what power and cadence you should ride at for each interval.
Switching between ERG Mode and SIM Mode - You can set your preference for either ERG or SIM Mode in your FulGaz app's settings -> workout settings. You can also switch between the modes during your workout by using the in-ride settings (tap the "cog" in the top right corner).
ERG Mode will have your trainer automatically set the resistance, whereas SIM Mode will set the resistance based on the virtual road gradient of the course you have chosen. This is great for doing a more "free-form" warm up and cool down, or setting yourself targets as opposed to having the trainer set the resistance for you.
Creating your own workouts
FulGaz doesn't have it's own custom workout builder. You can use ZWO Factory to easily build your own custom workouts, then upload them via the ZWO file to your FulGaz Member's Page. These custom workouts will then be available to overlay onto any FulGaz ride you choose.
Notes
- You need to connect to TrainingPeaks or TriDot to FulGaz in your FulGaz Member's Area before the automatic syncing will work.
- TrainingPeaks will only show you the workout of the day, it doesn't show a list of all available workouts you have in TrainingPeaks. You can drag and drop workouts from one day to another in TrainingPeaks if needed.
- Custom workouts need to be in ZWO format.
