This video shows you how to add workouts to FulGaz rides. These can be from files you have uploaded yourself or from imported directly from TrainingPeaks or Today's Plan.
These workouts will then control your trainer via ERG Mode. Bernard the virtual training partner will also encourage you as you ride and tell you what power and cadence to ride to.
Creating your own workouts
FulGaz doesn't have it's own workout builder because there are already so many places these files can be made or downloaded. Here's a link to the awesome zwo factory mentioned in the video. Try the workouts template page, it's a great place to get started.
You can adjust the following settings during each workout ride
Change FTP while you ride
Very useful in case the session is proving to be too hard or too easy
Swap between ERG mode and SIM mode
Great for doing a more free-form warm up and cool down, or setting yourself targets as opposed to having the trainer set the resistance for you
Turn Laps on or off
If your workout is longer than your chosen ride, you can turn laps on so you do repeated loops of the same FulGaz ride as you complete your workout (Please note, you need to choose rides from the loops category to make this feature work).
Choose Steady mode or Reactive Mode
FulGaz then speeds up or slows down depending on your effort, even when in Erg mode. This is great for doing things like testing time trial pacing strategies
In Settings > workout settings you can turn the elevation chart on or off and turn Bernard's comments on and off.
You need to connect to TrainingPeaks or Today's Plan in the FulGaz members website before the automatic linking will work. Here's the link https://members.fulgaz.com/uploads
TrainingPeaks will only show you the workout of the day, it doesn't show a list of all available workouts. you can drag and drop workouts from one day to another in TrainingPeaks if needed.
Workouts need to be in .zwo format, no other format is accepted at this time.
