While you cannot upload your own rides directly, we are more than happy to do this for you. Each ride video you see on FulGaz has undergone many hours of post-processing and behind-the-scenes testing to ensure it is of the highest ride quality and suitable for FulGaz.
We have very high standards, but with a little help, it’s easy to get your own footage to the standard we require for inclusion. Please download the guide below and read through it carefully. We are here to help and answer any questions you may have.

Before filming your entire ride - send us a test!
Before you film your epic ride, please get in contact with us first so we can have a chat about the content you wish to film. We'll also get you to perform a quick "test ride" of around five minutes so we can dial in your setup. Our team will review and provide feedback, then we can make sure it's all perfect before you set off on your filming adventure.
When submitting your footage to FulGaz, please also outline the exact settings used on the GoPro (eg: Wide, 4K, 60fps, etc).
- Please first email our team at: aidan@fulgaz.com
Camera Hardware
GoPro camera quality progresses very rapidly, and in order to keep up we do require all of our rides to be filmed using newer equipment. We will only accept rides that are filmed using the following models:
- GoPro 10
- GoPro 11
- GoPro 12 (including the Mini)
- Pro tip: Invest in at least a 128GB memory card!
We no longer accept ride videos from GoPro Hero 9 cameras and below, sorry.
Camera and Bike Computer Settings
- Camera Mode: Video
- Resolution: 4K
- FPS: 60
- Hypersmooth: ON
- Audio type: Auto
- Protune: ON (do not adjust - there should be an option to turn it on or off)
- GPS: ON (no GPS with the Hero 12, that is fine)
A few notes...
- We require data from either a Garmin, Wahoo, or newer Hammerhead bike computer
- Data from sports watches such as Apple or Garmin watches will not be accepted
- We no longer accept GoPro 7, 8, or 9 footage. Only footage from GoPro 10, 11, and 12 models can be submitted, and the video needs to be recorded using 60FPS, not 30FPS.
- You may need to take the door off the GoPro if you are using an additional battery. Battery doors with a "pass-through" for the USB cable can be purchased online.
- Turn ON GoPro GPS! While we don’t rely the GoPro’s GPS data, it does capture other data that can enhance video stability. We can use this to further refine the accuracy. The new GoPro 12 does not have GPS, that is totally fine as it has enhanced stability and processing.
- Turn off Auto Pause (Garmin and Wahoo computers)
- Turn off Smart Recording (Garmin only)
- Send us the original FIT data file - not an export from Strava or Garmin Connect
Framing
One of the most common issues we see from video contributors is poor framing. This may include wheels or handlebars creeping into the shot. Below are some great examples of how to frame your shot for the best possible view when uploaded to FulGaz.
Getting your video content to us:
1. Electronically
Pop the raw file straight from the GoPro into your Google Drive or Dropbox account and send us the link in an email, including your ride's FIT file. Please email: aidan@fulgaz.com
Include a short description of your ride. Outlining climbs and max gradients is a good idea. If possible please let us know if the ride contains any edits or stops whilst filming and the time points of these.
We do not require the .LRV or .THM files. Contributors only need to submit the MP4 files produced by GoPro, and the FIT file produced by the cycling computer.
2. Physically
Take the memory card out, check the files are good, copy the FIT file from your bike computer onto the card (in the root folder), sticky tape the memory card to a piece of paper, and mail it to us! For a postal address and further details, please email aidan@fulgaz.com first.
If adding more than one ride, let us know what’s what via a notepad or Word file.
