FulGaz is a high-powered app, and as such does require a modern device to run on. Many older model or lower-spec devices may simply struggle to run FulGaz smoothly. Below are the current minimum system specifications that we recommend.
Mac: FulGaz for Mac was designed around Big Sur OS. Early OS versions will not offer full connectivity with FulGaz and your smart trainer.
Some earlier model MacBooks may still be able to run FulGaz, as long as their OS is updated to at least Big Sur or Monterey. If your Mac is more than 5 years old or cannot be updated to Big Sur, it is more than likely not going to be able to handle running FulGaz.
NOTE: FulGaz for MacOS is Bluetooth only, ANT+ is not supported.
iPad, iPhone & Apple TV: Apple iOS devices that are more than five years old may struggle to run FulGaz with full stability. As a minimum, 4GB of RAM is recommend. We recommend at least...
iPhone 11 or newer
iPad 6th (2019) or newer
For the best performance please ensure your device is updated to iOS 16 and that there is at least 5GB of free space on your device.
Any 4th generation or above HD or 4K model Apple TV will run FulGaz. We do recommend the 4K models as they have superior processors. If available, get the larger-storage versions.
Windows 10 or 11 PC and laptop: A machine with a good quality CPU and a minimum of 8GB of RAM is recommended. With so many different device specifications and "home builds" of Windows devices, it is difficult to give a definite minimum specification, or to know for sure if FulGaz will run with full stability on every Windows PC or laptop. For the best performance ensure that all your drivers are up to date.
The testing laptop in the FulGaz office which runs the app faultlessly is a surface tablet and a HP Pavilion laptop with the below specs:
- Intel Core i5 processor
- 8GB RAM
- FulGaz itself (no history or downloads) is around 480MB so at least 1GB of free space with more required if downloading ride videos
You can use the Intel Driver Assistant to check for any pending updates.
Android: With so many makes and models of Android device on the market and such varying price ranges, it's very hard for us to give a minimum specification. The newer and higher-spec the better. A tablet with at least 4GB of RAM and running Android 12 is a good start.
FulGaz is a high powered app, don't expect it to run on a $199 department store Android tablet.
Spin Bikes: It is impossible for our team to test every make and model of Spin Bike to see if it is compatible with FulGaz. Most spin bikes do NOT broadcast standard power and cadence values over an open Bluetooth channel, so will not connect or interact with FulGaz.
Generally speaking, most spin bikes will not be 100% compatible with FulGaz. The following models will likely not connect or communicate correctly with FulGaz:
- Computrainer
- Schwinn 270
- Renpho AI Smart Bike
- Peloton Bike
- Echelon Bike
